Description

The University of Exeter has a history of running exciting events on International Women's Day, inviting external speakers to the University and celebrating the fantastic senior women working at the institution.

This year, for International Women’s Day the Doctoral College will be running an event on Thursday 8 March 2018 10:00-12:00 which celebrates the work and commitment of our inspirational female and non-binary PGRs and ECRs. The event will give PGRs and ECRs the opportunity to share their research or experiences, and allow them to network with senior women in academic and non-academic roles across the institution.

The event will be opened by Profesor Kim Soin, followed by Professor Debra Myhill who will talk about her academic career and the challenges she has faced. This will be followed by Postgraduate Researchers and Early Career Researchers present their research through a variety of formats. After the presentations there will be a chance network with senior women from both acdemic and professional services backgrounds.
